Whereas ADV may use them for most practical things, they probably found themselves inundated with them for the most ridiculous little things like events planning (instead of using a software package designed for that) or such - don't hold me to that as I suspect the upper echelons of ADV will not really ever say much more on the topic. It's usually an excuse, well we're not making money anyways, why have a spreadsheet to tell us that. What's confusing is that everything I heard from ADV sounded business-like.
